Headache for the Non-Neurologist: How to treat a headache…without getting one!
Length: 50 Minutes


This program will expire and must be completed by 11/15/26.

This session discusses physical examination, pathophysiology, and interventions in patients presenting with headaches for use in the primary care setting.

Learning Objectives:
·    Expand on the history and physical exam for the headache patient 
·    Discuss basic definitions and pathophysiology of primary headache disorders
·    Review basic interventions for Headache Management
·    Recognize when to refer to specialty care – Neurology and Headache Subspecialist

Accreditation Statement:
The Montana Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of .75 AOA Category 1-A credit and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Grievance Policy:

Anna Odermann, MD, MPH

Anna Odermann, MD, MPH is a neurologist at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana. She subspecializes in Headache Medicine, having completed her fellowship training and residency at Dartmouth Health in New Hampshire. She started her journey to headache medicine at Carroll College in Helena, Montana and earned her Medical Degree and Masters in Public Health at New York Medical College in Westchester, New York. She is thrilled to return and serve her home state of Montana. Dr. Odermann collects National Park cancellation stamps and was elated to use her trip back home to add to her collection.
