Stop the Clot: Guidance for Venous Thromboembolism

This lecture will discuss updated guidance for Venous Thromboembolism treatment as recommended at the CHEST 2021 conference, including VTE risk stratification and triage.

- Apply VTE Management Strategies to Interesting Cases
Accreditation Statement:
The Montana Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of .75 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Jason Kunz, DO, FACP
Jason Kunz, DO, FACP, serves as Assistant Program Director for inpatient medicine at the Billings Clinic internal medicine residency, working with inpatient residency processes. He enjoys clinical reasoning and integrating high-value care into everyday practice. Dr. Kunz oversees resident education in the simulation lab, including a code team leader training program, and has implemented updated insulin prescribing protocols in the inpatient setting. He volunteers time to judge resident posters and leads “doctor days” at local schools. Dr. Kunz received his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho, his Doctor of Osteopathy from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his internal medicine residency training at Summa Health System in Ohio. Dr. Kunz joined Billings Clinic after his residency training in 2015. His favorite activities include spending time with his family, church service, and outdoor activities.
