This presentation will examine common lower extremity injuries. How to examine, diagnose, and treat these common lower extremity injuries will be analyzed and discussed. When PCP's should refer patients to an orthopedic physician will be articulated. PCP's and Orthopedic physicians should attend this presentation.
Learning Objectives:
• Know common lower extremity injuries that present frequently in the outpatient setting
• Better grasp basic underlying anatomy
• Understand when routine and advanced imagines indicated
• Be able to better perform routine hip, knee, and ankle exam
• Know when to refer on to a specialist
