Ethical Considerations of Genome Editing & Genetic Testing

At the end of this lecture, physicians will be able to understand the primary ethical issues associated with two key factors of genomic technology today: genome editing and genetic testing. With regards to genome editing, in addition to understanding the key bioethical issues, physicians will be able to identify regulatory and human rights policy issues - from a bioethical lens - associated with genome editing. With regards to genetic testing, physicians will be able to understand the nature and purpose of genetic testing, the bioethical issues associated, along with the relevant legal implications.
