Medical Dermatology


At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
·    Diagnose a variety of adult and pediatric cutaneous infections and infestations and recognize common mimickers
·    Diagnose and treat adult, infantile, and childhood atopic dermatitis
·    Recognize warning signs of a severe cutaneous adverse drug reaction, signs of severe vasculitis and vasculopathy, and signs of severe autoimmune blistering disorders
·    Describe the advantages and disadvantages of the various modes of dermatologic drug delivery
·    Provide examples of drug therapy for specific, common dermatologic conditions

Accreditation Statements:
This program is co-sponsored by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) and the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon (OPSO). These osteopathic associations are accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. This program qualifies for AOA Category 1-A credit under an exemption approved by the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the American Osteopathic Association.

This program has been designated for a maximum of 2 AOA Category 1-A credits. MAOPS/OPSO will report CME and specialty credits to the AOA commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) and the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon (OPSO).

MAOPS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
