Acute Stroke and TIA: Workup & Management

Learning Objectives:

• Review the definition of TIA and clinical scores the speaker feels are relevant
• Review ischemic stroke and treatments that are available
• Apply knowledge about the management of TIA and acute ischemic stroke to help them analyze and apply new treatment options and guidelines
• Evaluate a patient based on time last known well and choose proper imaging to help determine whether further intervention is needed
• Stay up to date on stroke therapies and when each therapy is indicated based on timing and imaging to improve patient outcomes
• Understand YOUR critical role in the care and management of the stroke patient
