Accreditation Statement: This program is co-sponsored by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) and the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon (OPSO). Both osteopathic associations are accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Mark Carlson, MD's Profile

Dr. Mark Carlson has served as a Medical Staff Physician and Medical Director for CoxHealth Center for Addictions in Springfield, Missouri, since 1992.  Dr. Carlson is board certified as an Addictionologist by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Carlson is also board certified in Preventive Medicine by the American Board of Preventative Medicine. He has extensive experience in the field of addiction medicine. He has also been involved in medical research and occupational medicine, and he previously served as a Medical Officer for the US Centers for Disease Control.  Dr. Carlson is passionate about the field of addiction medicine and enjoys teaching and learning. 

Dr. Carlson graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska with his Doctor of Medicine degree, in 1971. He also received his Master of Public Health degree from the University of California-Berkeley in 1976.

Dr. Christopher Cirino completed his residency at George Washington University after graduating from Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Dr. Cirino is board certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He appreciates the chance to help patients overcome infections while identifying risk factors that impact their wellness.

In 2019, he developed a website, Your Health Forum, which now features more than 100 health articles for patients and the general population. He has published five health related children's books and is preparing to publish two adult health books in the next few months. Dr. Cirino strives to develop a health model that factors in behavior and maladaptive cycles as the impetus to disease and as a means toward patient empowerment in its prevention and treatment.

Dr. Cirino enjoys being a patient advocate and participating in the care of patients across multiple disciplines, and working with other physician groups to assist inpatient care. He is married with three children and enjoys art, playing the guitar, writing, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Katie Drago is originally from Roseville, California. She graduated from the University of California San Diego, in 2006 with a Biology degree and minor in US History. She attended the University of Arkansas and graduated in 2011 with her Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Drago completed a residency in Internal Medicine in 2014 and a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in 2015 at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Drago joined the OHSU Division of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics in 2015 to develop and run the Inpatient Geriatrics Program. She provided consultative geriatrics care for hospitalized older adults in partnership with medical and surgical providers.

Dr. Drago is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics Division at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Drago is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

David Henner, DO's Profile

Dr. David Henner is a Nephrologist and the Medical Director and Administrator of Dialysis at Berkshire Medical Center (BMC) in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He also serves as the Medical Director and Administrator of Dialysis at BMC South County Dialysis Center, BMC North County Dialysis Center, and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center Dialysis Center. In addition, Dr. Henner currently serves as the Division Chief of Nephrology at Berkshire Medical Center. He completed his Nephrology Fellowship in 2003 at New York University (NYU) in New York City, New York. Prior to that, he graduated from Medical School at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in 1998 and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 2001.

Dr. Henner currently serves as the President of the National Forum of ESRD Networks and is past Medical Advisory Council (MAC) Chair for the Forum. He also serves as the ESRD Divisional Board (EDRB) Chair for the IPRO ESRD Network of New England (Network 1) and previously served as the Medical Review Board (MRB) Chair for ESRD Network 1. He is board certified in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Henner resides in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, with his wife Nadine and three children- Alex (17 years old), Maddie and Gabe (14-year-old twins). Dr. Henner's favorite pastimes include baseball, New York Yankees and New York Giants, craft IPAs, fantasy baseball and football, and the Grateful Dead.

Dr. Farha Ikramuddin is a Physiatrist who cares for patients in need of rehabilitation and physical medicine at the Fairview Acute Rehabilitation Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Ikramuddin is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Ikramuddin's specialties include stroke rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, and spasticity management. 

Dr. Ikramuddin received her medical degree from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India. She completed her residencies at the University of Pittsburg in Pennsylvania and the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Ikramuddin's clinical interests include neurorehabilitation, spasticity management, and stroke rehabilitation. Dr. Ikramuddin is also interested in training medical students and resident physicians.

Dr. Lindy Landzaat is an Associate Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas. She graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, and her fellowship training in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (HPM) at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Landzaat is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Landzaat has practiced full-time Hospice & Palliative Medicine for over a decade and served as the Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship Director for eight years. She has been recognized with AAHPM's "40 under 40" inspirational leader award.  Leadership roles in medical education included vice-chairing AAHPM's HPM Entrustable Professional Activities development, co-chairing Curricular Milestones development, and co-chairing ACGME's first Hospice & Palliative Medicine-specific Reporting Milestones development. Her career goal is to offer high-quality, patient-centered palliative care for patients and their families dealing with serious illnesses while training the next generation of HPM providers to do the same.

She is the mother of two elementary school-age children and a new puppy.

Dr. Lucore graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines, Iowa, in 2008, where she earned a dual degree, Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine and a Master's degree in Public Health. Dr. Lucore completed her residency in 2011 with the Cox Health Family Medicine Program in Springfield, Missouri, emphasizing full-scope surgical obstetrics. She also helped start an OMT clinic at the residency clinic. Dr. Lucore is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Lucore was previously a board member of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS). She is still a very active member of MAOPS and is currently the Ozark District liaison.

Dr. Lucore has been with Cox Health Monett working in the Family Practice and Obstetrics clinic for the past ten years and is currently serving as Chief of Staff. This role has allowed her to lead the strategic planning committee for the newly opened hospital and clinic in Monett, a merging of three family medicine clinics. Dr. Lucore was voted "Best Pediatrician" in 2020 by the local newspaper. Dr. Lucore enjoys the broad spectrum of family medicine, caring for mothers and newborns to elder end-of-life care. She also welcomes the opportunity to host medical students and residents.

Like most healthcare workers, she finds the quest to balance home and work life challenging and essential and is most successful when she is fully present. When she is not navigating virtual education with her two children, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, practicing Spanish, and eating delicious food.

Eden Miller, DO, FOMA's Profile

Dr. Eden Miller is an Osteopathic Family Practitioner. She received her medical degree from AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri, in 1997. Dr. Miller then returned to the Northwest to complete her residency in Family Practice at East Moreland Hospital in Portland, Oregon. She recently completed her board certification in Obesity Management by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Miller is the founder of Diabetes Nation, a nonprofit organization, and CEO of Diabetes and Obesity Care, where she practices in Bend, Oregon. 

Dr. Miller has cultivated a special interest in diabetes after contracting type-1 diabetes while in medical school. Out of that personal experience, her practice has extended into a subspecialty in diabetes care. She is a passionate speaker and has given over 1000 lectures in the field of diabetes to health care providers and patients on subjects such as Diabetes Management, CGM Technology, Insulin Pump Therapy, Obesity, and Metabolism intervention, Clinical Research, and Healthcare Policy. Her adage for care is "she only succeeds as a provider if she turns patients into experts on their own disease."  

Dr. Miller believes that a physiologic patient individualized approach to diabetes intervention is crucial to success. She feels if our nation is to triumph over the ravages of diabetes, a collaborative effort; unhindered by fear of personal scrutiny, and barriers for effective treatment need to be removed. For her, diabetes and obesity care provide the foundational model to impact the people that represent this disease and begin the process of restoring hope back into their lives.

Dr. Kelly Noyes grew up in Enumclaw, Washington, and completed her undergraduate biology degree at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. She graduated in the inaugural class of the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine (PNWU-COM), Yakima, Washington, in 2012. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Following residency, Dr. Noyes returned to Washington, where she works as an Internal Medicine clinician and hospitalist. She is also an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at PNWU-COM. Dr. Noyes is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Noyes was a Junior Faculty of the Year Recipient in 2023 and the keynote speaker for the White Coat Ceremony at PNWU-COM in 2022. She received a fellowship appointment from the American College of Osteopathic Internists in 2022.

In her free time, Dr. Noyes enjoys riding horses and spending time at home in Ellensburg with her husband, where they raise quarter horses and cattle.
