This presentation will review current (and potential future) contraception methods and choices available for patients in the United States. The presenter will also discuss which contraceptive methods are best for patients based on their personal needs and medical conditions.  

Learning Objectives:
•  
 Learners will review the current contraception methods.
•    Learners will formulate optimal contraception recommendations based on their patient's individual medical, pharmacological, psychosocial, and behavioral health states.
•    Learners will recognize medication interactions and medical conditions which would necessitate a contraception plan change for their patients.
•    Learners will help their patients assess their contraception options and current health to determine optimal contraception for their well-being and safety.

Malorie Sue Howe, DO Related Seminars and Products


Dr. Malorie Howe is a Missouri native who grew up in Lebanon, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri Columbia, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Howe obtained her medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2015. She then completed her OBGYN residency at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2019. Dr. Howe is currently an OBGYN at Women's Care Obstetrics & Gynecology in Overland Park, Kansas. Dr. Howe is board certified in OBGYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Howe is a previous MAOPS Wetzel Scholar and is excited to be presenting at this conference. Dr. Howe enjoys traveling, attending wine tastings, and group fitness classes when not working. She believes establishing trust between a physician and patient is incredibly important, and she strives to create a unique relationship with every woman under her care.
