This presentation focuses on counterstrain of the cervical spine and posterior thoracic and lumbar spine, including identifying common tender points and demonstrating efficient physician ergonomics while diagnosing and treating somatic dysfunction using counterstrain.

Jessica Di Nizio, DO, is a resident at Still OPTI/Northeast Missouri Medical Center in Kirksville, MO. Dr. Di Nizio completed a Family Practice resident at Frankford Hospital. She is currently in her final year of an ONMM residency. Dr. Di Nizio earned her doctor of osteopathy medicine from New York Institute of Technology—College of Osteopathic Medicine. Eric Snider, DO, is an associate professor at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM). He serves as the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine department chairperson and as the program director for the Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) residency. Dr. Snider is board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (1999), and completed his internship and residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center (1999-2002). She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and she completed her residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center. Dr. Snider has earned fellowship awards from the American Academy of Osteopathy and the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators.
