This presentation will examine common lower extremity injuries. How to examine, diagnose, and treat these common lower extremity injuries will be analyzed and discussed. When PCP's should refer patients to an orthopedic physician will be articulated. PCP's and Orthopedic physicians should attend this presentation.
In this presentation, we will review the latest, most up-to-date research on injuries and treatment approaches to the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee. Updated anatomical, biomechanical and clinical research will be presented. The use of new orthopedics technology, including needle arthroscopy, and its application in knee injuries will be reviewed.
We will review how ACL injuries occur and discuss the associated treatment challenges. We will review a sports-related knee exam, and anyone who actively treats knee injuries or is interested in sports-related injuries should attend.
