Paris Whitney, DO, IFMCP
Dr. Paris Whitney completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She completed her medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Whitney completed her residency at UC Davis Medical Center and Mercy Methodist Hospital in Sacramento, California. Dr. Whitney is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, in Acupuncture by the American Board of Acupuncture, in Functional Medicine by the Institute of Functional Medicine, and in Integrative Medicine by the American Board of Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Whitney began her career as the Medical Director of the Indian Health Service (IHS) in Auburn, California. Following this, she began her clinical journey into functional medicine and spent ten years in private practice, improving her clients' health goals and preventing further decline. Dr. Whitney moved on to the Cleveland Clinic, where she pioneered the functional medical program alongside world-renowned physician Dr. Mark Hyman. While at the Cleveland Clinic, she pursued extensive training in fascial distortion modelTM (FDM) and frequency-specific microcurrent (FSM). Dr. Whitney served as the clinical lead in developing a Functional Medicine Fellowship while training her Cleveland Clinic colleagues on how to perform FDM.
After leaving Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Whitney maintained a private concierge practice supporting clients in comprehensive, preventive, functional medicine programs. Her clients were executives, their families, and colleagues interested in longevity, health, and optimal function. Dr. Whitney joined LifeSpan Medicine in Santa Monica, California, in 2023 as a preventive, functional medicine physician. Her clinical care programs are made up of cutting-edge, comprehensive preventive longevity treatments as well as root cause functional medicine supporting optimal health and function.
Dr. Whitney is a member of the AOA, AOBIM, IFM, AAFP, and the ABFM. Dr Whitney also has training and expertise in cognitive decline, cardiometabolic advanced practice, environmental health, GI/microbiome, hormone balancing, and immune support.
