Mr. Clipper Young, PharmD, APh, BC-ADM, BCGP, CDCES, MPH
Dr. Clipper Young is the Co-Director for Distance Learning & Clinical Integration, Associate Professor, and Clinical Pharmacist at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. He specializes in diabetes management/consultation, cardiovascular risk reduction, and medication therapy management. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy at Touro University California in Vallejo, California, and his Master of Public Health degree from the School of Public Health at Touro University California. Dr. Young is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management and Diabetes Care & Education Specialist by the Association of Diabetes Care & Educational Specialists. He is also board certified as a Geriatric Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
Dr. Young was trained in an education-focused fellowship and continued his career working with patients, students, and healthcare professionals in various capacities. As an academic and community-based clinician, Dr. Young aspires to devote his career to lifelong learning as a clinical pharmacist, a public health advocate, and an educator. Being in the unique position of working with an interdisciplinary diabetes team at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine as a faculty member, he has been able to integrate his education, training, and passion for pursuing his dream of tackling diabetes.
Dr. Young discloses that he is a speaker for Abbott and does community outreach support through a grant from Sutter Health. All relevant financial relationships have been mitigated.
