Dennis M. Abbott, DDS, received his dental degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry and advanced training in periodontics, immunology and microbiology at the University of Buffalo. He has greater than 25 years’ experience in delivering direct patient care. Dr. Abbott’s expertise is the link between oral health and systemic health, and he is passionate about developing and delivering the optimal oral health care to individuals battling cancer.  Most recently, he has focused on the benefits realized from orally delivered antioxidants on medication- and radiation-related osteonecrosis of the jaw.  As the Assistant Director of Integrated Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at KCU’s College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Abbott is also interested in optimizing learning strategies for the predoctoral learner in dental education and the advantages of an integrated dental curriculum.
