Heather Phipps, DO, MBA, FAAOS
Dr. Phipps serves as Assistant Dean for Clinical Education, Division Chief of Surgery, and Associate Professor of Clinical Education for Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and is an Orthopedic Surgeon in Kennewick, WA.
Dr. Phipps received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She graduated with an MBA from Washington State University. Dr. Phipps completed a Traditional Rotating Internship at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, OH and an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey. Dr. Phipps is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. In 2021 Dr. Phipps completed her Osteopathic Healthcare Policy Fellowship through the American Osteopathic Association.
During her tenure as an Orthopedic Surgeon in Kennewick, WA Dr. Phipps has served in a variety of roles. She acted as the Managing Partner for BF Physical Therapy and served on the Governing Board for High Desert Surgery Center. She has served on the Pacific Northwest University Board of Trustees, including serving as Vice-Chair, Chair, and Immediate Past-Chair. She has served in the peer selected positions of Chief of Surgery, Surgery Committee Representative to Medical Executive Committee, and Credentials Committee at Trios Health Hospital. Dr. Phipps was the founding Designated Institutional Official for the Trios Health Graduate Medical Education Department. She has served on the Board of Benton Franklin County Medical Society and the Washington Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Phipps’ additional interests include hiking and photography, particularly in the National Parks.
