Dr. Jess Caine is a General Surgeon at Heartland Physicians & Surgeons and the Trauma Director at Northeast Regional Medical Center (NRMC) in Kirksville, Missouri. She is also an Associate Professor and Clinical Instructor at A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Cain is also the Medical Director for the City of Kirksville Fire Department. Dr. Caine completed her residency training in General Surgery at Northeast Regional Medical Center in 2019. She is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery. 

Dr. Caine is a member of the following professional associations, including the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the Missouri Associaton of Osteopathic Physicians (MAOPS), and the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST). She received the NRMC Medical Staff Professionalism Award in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

In her free time, Dr. Caine enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, participating in adventure races & triathlons, and watching documentaries.
