Jing Gao, MD, FAIUM
Jing Gao, MD, FAIUM earned her Doctor of Medicine and Chinese traditional medicine in China. After completing a year-long post-doctoral fellowship at the China Medical University and serving an attending physician in the Department of Ultrasound in China, she came to the US as a visiting assistant professor of Radiology in 1989. She participated in clinical ultrasound services, teaching radiology residents and medical students, and research in the Department of Radiology, Weill Cornell Medicine of Cornell University for more than 25 years.
She had research grants awarded by NIH, AOA, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Rocky Vista University. She has published a book, three book chapters, and 100 peer reviewed articles. She is an editorial board member in journals of Clinical imaging, Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, and Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology. She is also a reviewer for several medical journals. She is participating in AIUM/RSNA/QIBA studies. She has lectured and presented in the international and national radiology/ultrasound conferences many times. Her goal is to contribute her knowledge and experience to ultrasound education and research. Dr. Gao is currently a Professor of Ultrasound and the Director of Ultrasound Research and Education at RVU-MCOM. She is a fellow in the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
