Katheryn D. Hudon, DO, FAAP, FACOP

Sacred Heart Children's Hospital & Providence Medical Group

Dr. Katheryn Hudon is a physician who is equally passionate about her combined careers as a pediatrician, medical educator, and leader in academic medicine. She is board certified in Pediatrics by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Hudon began her undergraduate time studying public health and music at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, finishing her Bachelor of Science at Central Washington University following the disruption of Hurricane Katrina. She completed her undergraduate medical education at Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, Washington, and her graduate medical education at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Hudon currently resides in the idyllic Palouse country outside Spokane, Washington. She works with Sacred Heart Children's Hospital and Providence Medical Group. Dr. Hudon thrives in the care of acute pediatric patients and seamlessly integrates care for the medically complex child and partners to build health and wellness in families as they grow. She exudes excellence in the medical care of the pediatric patient while also serving as Division Chief of Pediatrics and Assistant Professor at Pacific Northwest University-COM and as clinical faculty for Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in Spokane, Washington.

By demonstrating her passion and capability for medical education, Dr. Hudon has been awarded Preceptor of the Year for multiple years in a row. Students selected her as a speaker for the "Last Lecture" at the Clinician Ceremony at PNWU. She is also distinctly honored to serve as the Division Chief of Pediatrics for Pacific Northwest University, where she has rebuilt the pediatric curriculum across all four years of training, delivering the bulk of the pediatric content to learners in a style that mirrors that of her clinical practice: compassionate, engaging, incisive, and holistic. With her unique combination of passion for medical education, leadership, medical expertise, and commitment to the well-being of patients, families, trainees, and colleagues alike, Dr. Hudon commits herself to enhance academic medicine and clinical excellence, all in service of improving the quality of care for our most vulnerable and important patients: children.

Dr. Hudon discloses that she has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing healthcare goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients relative to the content of this presentation.
