Dr. Logan Banks is a professor of family medicine and obstetrics in Burundi, East Africa, at the Hopital Espoir de Kibuye – Kibuye Hope Hospital - at Hope Africa University. Dr. Banks is a graduate of A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. He then completed a family medicine residency at CoxHealth in Springfield. In 2010, he completed an international family medicine fellowship at Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas. He also completed an obstetrics fellowship at CoxHealth. After completing several medical missions, Dr. Banks and his wife, Julie, decided to move their family to Burundi and were invited to join the mission of Hope Africa University by teaching at the rural site, Kibuye Hope Hospital. He is in the middle of a five-year commitment to Hope Africa University. Dr. Banks is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
