Jared W. Nichols, DO, FACOFP

Dr. Jared Nichols is an Assistant Professor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Kansas City University - Joplin Campus in Joplin, Missouri. He serves as the year-two course director for the osteopathic skills classes, directs OMM fellows, and conducts research. Dr. Nichols also has a non-opioid pain management clinic at a local Federal Community Health Center in Joplin, Missouri. Dr. Nichols is board certified in Family Medicine and OMT by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He is also board certified in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and has a certificate in Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Nichols earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 2014 from A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. In 2017 he completed his residency in Family Medicine and OMT at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. In 2019 he completed his post-graduate fellowship in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Nichols has previously served as a lecturer and editor for Doctors In Training, an independent board-prep resource.
Dr. Nichols is a self-proclaimed Missourian for life. He has three little girls with his wife, Jourdan. He loves to teach, and his interests include regenerative medicine, health and wellness, and pinball.
