Priya Nori, MD


Dr. Priya Nori is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. Dr. Nori serves as Medical Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) and the Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy Program (OPAT). She also serves as Director of the Infectious Diseases (ID) fellowship program. Dr. Nori is a core member of the Montefiore Health System's COVID-19 task force, leading testing, infection prevention, and therapeutic protocols. She has directed the Montefiore COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibody Treatment Program since December 2020.  She is widely published in COVID-19 therapeutics and outbreak management. Dr. Nori is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Nori has been assisting the Department of Justice with COVID-19 protocols since April 2020. She is an alumna of the Johns Hopkins University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received the American Medical Women's Association's Glasgow-Rubin Achievement Award and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then completed her residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Nori then returned to Einstein/Montefiore for her fellowship in infectious diseases. After completing her fellowship in 2014, she stayed on as a faculty member at Einstein/Montefiore. Dr. Nori holds multiple professional society leadership roles and has received several awards. She was awarded ID fellowship "teacher of the year" in 2015, the Department of Medicine "rising star" award in 2017, and the "Sharon Silbiger Subspecialist Teacher of the Year" award in 2020.

Dr. Nori discloses that she is a promotional speaker for Regeneron and she is working on a CoPI research grant that the institution she works for received from Merck to study co-infections in COVID-19 patients. All relevant financial relationships have been mitigated.
