Rebecca Spear, DO
Dr. Rebecca Spear grew up and attended school in Maine, earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in Orono, Maine. She received her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. She completed residency training in Internal Medicine at UConn Health in Farmington, Connecticut, where she developed a passion for teaching and caring for older adult patients. Following a chief resident year focused on teaching skills, she completed a combined geriatric medicine and hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Yale University.
Dr. Spear works for the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine. She serves as the Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship. While her practice is primarily involved in the inpatient setting, she has a passion for improving models of care to keep older adults in the community whenever possible.
In her free time, Dr. Spear enjoys spending time outdoors, especially exploring new walking, biking, and hiking trails with her husband and son.
Dr. Spear discloses that she has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients relative to the content of her presentation.
