Chad Anthony Boulware, DO, was born in Joplin, MO and grew up in Webb City, where he graduated high school in 1995.  He attended Missouri Southern State University, graduating from the Honors Program in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in science majoring in biology/premed.  He then pursued his doctorate in osteopathy at Kansas City University, graduating in 2003.  After a one-year traditional rotating internship, he completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO in 2007.  He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine by the AOBEM and is currently confused regarding the CORE, as most of you are.

Dr. Boulware has practiced Emergency Medicine for fifteen years with special interests in Wilderness Medicine, Sports Medicine, and CrossFit.  He recently obtained his CF-L1 and is a member of CrossFit Health.  He is an active member of the Wilderness Medical Society, the ACOEP, and ACEP/MoCEP.  In 2020, he was inducted into the Webb City R-7 Hall of Fame for his community service during his career, including the aftermath of the Joplin Tornado of 2011 and the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dr Boulware has been involved in teaching students and residents as teaching faculty for the past 15 years, recently becoming a Core Faculty member in the Emergency Medicine residency this past March.  He lives in Webb City, MO with his wife of 24 years, Brandi, and their three children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.
