David Russo, DO, MPH


Dr. Russo is an expert in pain treatment and regenerative therapies for musculoskeletal conditions. He is in private practice and is the partner and owner of Columbia Pain Management, P.C. in Hood River, Oregon. He is also a consultant in risk management, peer review, and organizational development. Dr. Russo is board certified in Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Addiction Medicine by the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists. He earned his medical degree and graduate degrees in Public Health and Clinical Research and Education at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Russo completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Oregon Health and Sciences University, Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Russo received the Rose Award for Outstanding Service Excellence from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 2007. He is a member of many professional associations and societies, including the Doctors Mayo Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Academy of Pain Medicine. His research interests include chronic pain disorders, health policy & economics, and evidence-based treatment of musculoskeletal disease.
