Katherine Blount, DO, FAAP, MPH

Dr. Katherine Blount is a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Fellow at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. She previously worked for five years as a general pediatrician in Jefferson City, Missouri. Dr. Blount received her Master of Public Health from the University of Missouri in 2011 and then her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University in 2015. She completed her Pediatric residency at the University of Missouri in 2018.  Dr. Blount is board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Blount is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She is the Legislative and Advocacy Chair of the Missouri Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She serves as the co-chair of the Missouri Child Psychiatry Access Project Steering Committee.  Dr. Blount just completed a second term on the American Academy of Pediatrics Section of Osteopathic Pediatricians Executive Committee.

Dr. Blount is married to Dr Lucas Blount, and they have two children, Charlee (3 years) and Teddy (5 months).  They enjoy cooking, going out to eat or to the theater, being outside with the kids or on the trails, and watching and attending college sports events, especially now that they can take two future Mizzou Tigers to share the experience.
