Geoff Comp, DO, FACEP, FAWM
Dr. Geoff Comp is the Associate Program Director for the Creighton University School of Medicine Emergency Medicine Residency at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He is also the Division Chief for Wilderness Medicine and EMS in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Valleywise Health Medical Center. Dr. Comp attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, now known as Kansas City University – College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCU-COM), in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Doctors Hospital/Ohio Health in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Comp participates as a leader, mentor, and advocate for wilderness medicine and EM medical education, with experience lecturing and teaching locally, regionally, and nationally. His professional and research focus includes wilderness medicine, physician wellness, mentorship, and innovation in medical education. He constantly seeks opportunities to combine his interests through collaboration with others and outdoor exploration.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Comp can be found running or road biking, trying to find the best Mexican food in Arizona, or chasing his three-year-old twin boys (Austin and Carter) with his wife, Mackenzie.
