Holly Villamagna, MD

Dr. Holly Villamagna received her bachelor's degree in print journalism and neuroscience at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. She then returned to her home state and completed medical school at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, Reno, Nevada, and then her residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Villamagna then completed her fellowship in Internal Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She subsequently participated in the Leadership in Epidemiology, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Public Health (LEAP) Fellowship, during which she worked with the Oregon Health Authority to complete a research project studying risk factors for large COVID outbreaks in long-term care facilities. Dr. Villamagna is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Villamagna's clinical interests include inpatient and outpatient general infectious diseases. She is passionate about improving communication in medicine. She has pursued that interest by working on clinical infectious diseases/public health collaborative projects and medical education projects focusing on medical student curriculum design and implementation.

Dr. Villamagna enjoys running marathons (slowly), riding her Peloton bike, telling anyone who will listen about running and Peloton, and exploring the world with her husband and their Westie puppy, Oliver in her spare time.
