Jon Mattson, DO

Dr. Jon Mattson is a graduate of A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri, in the class of 1999. He is a dual board-certified physician in Family Medicine by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Practice and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. He did an additional year of teaching as an undergraduate fellow in the Osteopathic Medicine Department at Kirksville. Dr. Mattson completed his rotating internship and Family Practice residency at the Medical Center of Independence in Independence, Missouri, completing his residency in 2002. Dr. Mattson immediately went into a new start-up private practice in his hometown of Moberly, Missouri, doing Family Practice/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Hospital work, and Emergency Medicine. 

Dr. Mattson became the Medical Director of Ozarks Medical Center Wound Care Services, West Plains, Missouri, in 2012. It was a new start-up wound care and hyperbaric center. He practiced there for five years before he moved to the Kansas City area to be closer to family, and he currently works at Saint Luke's North Hospital Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center in Kansas City, Missouri. They have developed an outstanding multidisciplinary team to save limbs and lives. They use an evidence-based approach toward patients, which drives their success. Dr. Mattson received the Healogics Center of Distinction Award in 2014, 2016, and 2018.
