Charlie Rasmussen, DO


Dr. Charlie Rasmussen is a family medicine physician with over 20 years of specialized training in Family Medicine & Obstetrics. He received his medical degree from Kansas City University Medical and Biomedical Science, now known as Kansas City University – College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCU-COM) in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Rasmussen previously practiced at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. He became board certified in hospice and palliative care by the American Board of Family Medicine and took a position as the Director of Hospice Care. He is also board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Rasmussen moved to Branson with his wife and daughter from Houston, Missouri, in 2013.

Dr. Rasmussen currently serves as the regional director for Good Shepard Hospice in Branson and describes this as one of his favorite areas of medicine. He has always dreamed of owning and operating his own medical clinic, and in 2017, Dr. Rasmussen opened a solo practice, Table Rock Family and Obstetrics. Dr. Rasmussen is a partner at 360 Medicine and helps staff emergency rooms throughout Southwest Missouri and Arkansas. Dr. Rasmussen has formed a partnership teaching a rural family medicine residency program in Salina, Kansas, on top of mentoring medical students at programs throughout Missouri. He is also in the process of starting a drug and alcohol treatment clinic with a fellow physician.

Dr. Rasmussen received the 2022 Family Physician of the Year Award from the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP). Dr. Rasmussen received 417 Magazine's Top Doctor of the Year in 2018.  He is a fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians, which recognizes physicians who have distinguished themselves among their colleagues. He has attended to the birth of more than 1,200 babies

In his free time, Dr. Rasmussen likes to be active outdoors with his family and furry kids, biking and skiing in the mountains or on the lake with his family. He is married and has one daughter.
