Julie Blanco, LCSW, CASAC, CCPD-D
Ms. Julie Blanco is the Director of Training and Technical Assistance at Illume – The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence in St. Louis, Missouri. She directly oversees and supervises Illume's training staff and delivers training on a variety of Evidence Based Practices (EBP). Ms. Blanco supports the ongoing development of the training staff to ensure the training offered is high quality and reflects the current state of knowledge in the field. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master's in Social Work from St. Louis University School of Social Service in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ms. Blanco is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRAAD) with over 30 years of experience providing behavioral health services. She has worked as a mobile outreach worker, emergency department social worker, integrated treatment specialist on an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, therapist, ACT team supervisor, and program manager for Integrated Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders (ITCD) programming. She has experience delivering EBP interventions and specialty training as a trainer in Motivational Interviewing (MINT Member), Community Reinforcement Approach, Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM), Creating Cultures of Trauma Informed Care (CCTIC), Mental Health First Aid, and a variety of other evidence-based and emerging practices.
