Kristin Crymes, DO


Dr. Kristin Crymes is a Family Physician and serves as Faculty and Associate Program Director at the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency in Springfield, Missouri. She is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and in Lifestyle Medicine by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and she served five years of active duty in the regular Air Force and three years in the Air Force Reserves. Dr. Crymes received her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed her residency in Family Medicine from CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Crymes joined the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency faculty in 2016 after practicing broad-scope family medicine in Nevada, Missouri, for five years.

Dr. Crymes recently led the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency Program in becoming a Lifestyle Medicine Residency Site accredited by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She has a passion for integrating and teaching the profound importance of evidence-based lifestyle interventions to treat, prevent, and reverse the burden of chronic disease for her patients and the community. She believes that partnerships are the way toward lasting, sustainable community health.

Dr. Crymes is a member of various professional medical associations, including the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
