Diane Light, DO


Dr. Diane Light graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU), now known as A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri, in 1987. She completed a rotating Internship at Charles E. Still Osteopathic Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri, followed by a residency in General Surgery in Lansing, Michigan. After residency, she returned to Jefferson City and practiced General Surgery for 31 years. Dr. Light was affiliated with Capital Region Medical Center before she retired in October 2023. Dr. Light is board-certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

Dr Light served on the Board of Directors for Medical Liability Alliance (MLA) for 16 years until January 2023, when she resigned to become the Chief Medical Officer of MLA's parent company, Healthcare Services Group in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Dr. Light actively participated in clinical and didactic training of medical students, interns, and residents during her residency and while practicing.

Dr. Light discloses that she has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing healthcare goods or services consumed by or used on patients relative to the content of this presentation.
