Ginny Whitelaw, PhD

Dr. Ginny Whitelaw is an 86th generation Zen master and founder of the Institute for Zen Leadership (IZL). For more than 25 years, she's combined a rich scientific background, senior leadership experience, and mind-body practices in developing whole leaders. She co-developed FEBI ("fee-bee"), a validated personality test linking mind, body, and behaviors. Dr. Whitelaw has taught leadership programs to non-profits, universities, healthcare systems, and top global companies, including Novartis, Merck, Dell, Bank of America, and Ascension Health. At IZL, she's developed an accredited Healthy Embodied Agile Leadership (HEAL) curriculum for healthcare professionals and certification pathways in Zen leadership practice, coaching, and instruction.

 Formerly a senior leader at NASA, Dr. Whitelaw led the integration of the Space Station Program and was awarded NASA's Exceptional Service Medal. She has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and  a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Whitelaw has a Doctor of Philosophy in Biophysics from the University of Chicago, Illinois. She is also a 5th-degree black belt in Aikido. Dr. Whitelaw is the author of four books, including the award-winning Resonate and The Zen Leader, and is a regular contributor to forbes.com on leadership strategy.
